Google is the foremost choice of all the webmasters for its ease of use and more importantly because of its highest payment and CPM rates. But many times adsense accounts also get banned and the website owners have to look for other adsense alternatives.

Now market is full of all kind of CPC (cost per click), CPM (cost per thousand impressions), CPA (cost per action), PPP (pay per play), pop ups, Incontent links programs but there are very few which comes close to the returns which adsense gives. The reason being, these programs don’t have that many advertisers and they also lack precision targeting of ads, resulting less number of clicks.

Still here are some of the Premium adsense alternatives which you may want to look at. These are good programs with decent CPM returns comparable to adsense.

1. Yahoo Publisher Networks - YPN is the closest adsense competitor in terms of earnings per click. Unfortunately it is only available for US citizens. I have seen non US citizens using it through some loopholes but I don’t think its a very smart idea to do that. If you are in USA and have got banned from adsense, give it a try to YPN, at the time of its launch, yahoo publisher network was reported to be paying twice that of adsense clicks but now it has come down but still it is very much at par with google adsense.

2. Microsoft adCenter - Another alternative for google adsense program is offered by Microsoft adCenter program. Though still in beta and not available for many countries, Microsoft adcenter is also reported to be giving CPM earning at par with google adsense.

Otehr then YPN and adCenter, I don’t think there is any other CPC programs which even come close to Adsense. Still some of the other CPC programs are -

3. Adbrite - Adbrite has a very poor inventory filled with warez and adult website and they pay very less because of it. Still if you are banned in Google, its worth giving it a try, since most of the sites that get banned in google are anyway warez, adult or similar sites which fits well for adbrite network. Adbrite offers Interstitial ads, which covers your whole page and though heavily disliked by users, are claimed to have payout of $10 CPM.

Some of the other programs which you may also like to consider as an alternatives for adsense are -

4. Bidvertiser - though with very less advertiser inventory bidvertiser certainly don’t come in the same league as google adsense but still you can give it a try. In Bidvertiser program, advertisers bids on the ad spot on your website and niche.

5. Clicksor - Clicksor is another Tier II advertising program which offers all kind of advertising like CPC, CPM, popups etc. Though again, the payout for Clicksor is no way near that of google adsense.

6. Chitika - chitika mini malls and its variants sells various electronic products through the ads. Back in 2006, they were very popular but I am sure the current economy must have hurt them badly. With circuitcity going down and other stores also not doing that well the payout of chitika too must have come down. Anyway you can give it a try, specially on sites/blogs which are tech related to see how it performs. You can also build your own chitika store.

7. TextLinkAds and Inlinks - TLA and Inlinks are programs offered to sell links on the sites with minimum hassle, The only problem is, google don’t like it and your site/blog may lose its page rank because of using such programs, so if you have a site/blog with very little traffic you can give these programs a try.

8. Kontera - Kontera is an incontent link program which converts selected words from the text of your page to links. Its not a bad program even though people often complains about them not having enough inventory, paying 3-6 cents per click and the ads taking lot of time to load.

9. Intellitext - intellitext is just like kontera, program which shows highlighed links. The payout for it too is in same region that of Kontera.
